[PREP YOUR EYES] Start with clean, dry eyelids. If you're applying eyeshadow, do that first. Eyeliner can be applied before or after eyeshadow, depending on your preference

[CHOOSE YOUR LINER] Select your preferred eyeliner type. You can use a pencil liner for a soft, smudged look, a liquid liner for precision, or a gel liner for a combination of both

[CURL YOUR LASHES] Start by curling your lashes with an eyelash curler for an open-eyed look. This step is optional, but it can make a significant difference

[APPLY MASCARA TO UPPER LASHES] Hold the mascara wand horizontally and start at the base of your upper lashes. Wiggle the wand back and forth to ensure even coverage, and then sweep it upward towards the tips. Apply a second coat if you want more volume and length

[SEPARATE LASHES] If your mascara creates clumps, use a lash comb or a clean mascara wand to separate your lashes for a clean, defined look
