I was not going to write a review, I was simply going to return it and let it be; however, returning is not an option.Blinc was my favorite mascara, back from when it was Kiss Me. It was my first foray into tubing the lashes, and I fell in love with the lack of smudging from something as simple as sweating or my eyes watering. Removing the tubes was easy (and entertaining) in the shower, and it always left my eyes very clean.I know formulas change over the years, but this just isn't the same for me. I actually hadn't bought a tube in a while, and the last time I did, it was directly from Sephora. It was a luxury for me, and I was ready for a new tube. I don't typically buy things like this (makeup, oils, etc) from Amazon because I’ve received a cut oil before, but it looked like an official Blinc store, so I went ahead and purchased. I'm sure it is legit and that I'd probably get the same product from Sephora now; it's just a different formula and, for me, it's not worth the $26 price tag.For one, the volume just isn’t there like I feel it used to be. I did three layers (quickly, before it dried), and it just didn’t do it for me. (Like Prince Valium. Always a Spaceballs quote somewhere!!)Secondly, it still managed to smudge. That is one of the main goals in using this mascara, to have ZERO smudge, which was the case for me with the original formula (not the Amplified). So even a millimeter or two of smudging with this product renders it unacceptable for me. I might as well pay half the price for a similar tubing mascara. It is still better than regular mascaras as far as smudging goes, even the “waterproof” ones. And it does remove easily with warm water and soft pressure. What used to make this luxury product special and unique is no longer the case, in my experience.I appreciate that they did away with the plastic wrap for a more sustainable/recyclable paper packaging…but switching to a plastic tube seems to cancel that out…? Maybe the plastic is still better and more sustainable than the metal; I do not claim to know anything in that regard. I just miss the metal tube and the old product. I’m sorry to say that I would not purchase this again. Maybe you will have a different experience.I love this product. I have thin pale lashes and this works better than anything that I have tried. Easy to use. Great for sensitive eyes.I was having issues with my mascara staining under my eyes making my already dark circles darker. With this mascara that isn’t an issue any more! I work in a very bright building with lots of windows and also coach softball so I find myself squinting often and would have mascara above and below my eyes. That’s another issue completely gone. I have sweated and splashed myself in the face with no smudging or the tubes coming off. Taking off is super easy a little water and the come right off. My daughter calls it taking off my spiders because the tubes slide right off and wiggle in the sink. I will continue to buy this product well worth paying a little more than department store locallyThis brand of tube mascara is often mentioned as one that people with sensitive eyes can wear. It didn't work for me.I use Thrive mascara but hate waiting for it to ship so tried this instead as it was next day delivery with Prime. It's so wet it's hard to apply, however as it got older it got a little dryer and now it is better. Easier to apply if you have a light fan blowing on you at same time. Not really worth the money to me. Will stick with Thrive.I am reviewing this based off of what the product promises to do.It is easy to apply. I use an oil based 'rice oil' korean make up remover product and I just take a cotton pad and apply a little more extra time to my eyes. I only apply one coat because I don't like the thin/spider lash look. If you are going for that then yes, I think this mascara will certainly give length but you lose a lot in volume. How does it lengthen? it seems to just attach to the lashes and build upon itself, not your eyelash--kind of weird sounding, but that's prbs why it is so hard to remove. Because you have something attached to your actual eyelash.I do think it lengthens them a bit, but I have generally accepted that no product will be able to make up for having very short eye lashes unless you apply falsies. And that's fine with me. I think this product gives me enough of a pop that I like it, but it's subtle enough that I think only other women might notice it, or maybe a make up artist [guys don't really notice the small details].Would I purchase this again? I don't know. If I could afford it, yes. But if I am on a budget, then maybe not. What do I ADORE about this product? It is smudge proof. Every mascara I have tried has always given me little smudges beneath my eyes, and I only recent learned the difference between smudge proof and water proof. I don't get that at ALL which is the reason why I bought this.I have no idea what people mean when they say they felt like their eyelashes were coming off. I thought I would be entertained as I removed it but it just sort of crumbles off in little pieces. And it does NOT look like eyelashes to me. Maybe I need to apply more??Anyways, that's what I think. Again, it will give you great length but you lose volume and get very thin eyelashes, not the full ones. Not my style. And it is smudgeproof.I bought this and used it after seeing a YouTuber talk about how it works. I am 40; that sort of thing usually doesn't matter to me, but being this old my eyelashes are short and thin so normal mascara doesn't work. Not to mention, the normal paint on mascara makes my eyes water. I used Blinc and had beautiful long lashes that did NOT look like tarantulas (sorry I'm not into that gloopy mass of lashes look or the caterpillar eye brows) and had individual lash definition. Then when I took it off in the shower, it just slid off my lash with zero residue. There was no need to use nasty chemicals, scrub and take the chance of losing another lash, or irritate my eyes. It all came off with my normal shower routine. OH! If you are like me and sometimes forget to take your makeup off (I don't wear it often so I do forget it's on sometimes) it's okay for 2 days. After that it will break off and get into your eyes. I LOVE this stuff!I have bought this previously in the silver tube and it was great - went on well and dried quickly, and slid off very easily with warm water. Not a dramatic volumising mascara but fine for everyday use.But packaging and product have both changed - the tube is now brown, which is fine, but the changes to the product & formula are awful. It’s sticky, and upper lashes get stuck to lower ones before it dries which is a slow process. The brush has changed to an hourglass shape which seems to always smudge onto upper lid, and it’s not nearly as easy to remove. I use warm water as before but it really has to be pulled off lashes rather than sliding off. And it’s expensive. What a regression. Go back to the previous version please!I was excited to receive this after reading many good reviews regarding its staying power. and yes its very true smudge proof cry proof rub proof etcand easily comes off with warm water and pressure. its not like other mascaras it comes off in tubes at first makes you think you have puled some eye lashes out but no its the tubing that coats your lashes.my only niggles are you don't get any dramatic effect from this mascara its good for everyday use but if you want more you would need to put a different mascara on first and then use blink but I'm not sure if this would keep its staying power.also it seems to leak around the top so when you do the lid up it ends up oozing out around the lid and goes a bit like an acrylic paint, it peels off easy enough but I just hope I'm not losing to much product by this as its a VERY ! pricey mascara. The pros for me: against animal cruelty, does not move once applied, comes off easily, does not irritate (I have "problem"/sensitive eye issues), the price would not be an issue if it worked out for me.The cons for me: very tricky to apply (it seems to have a consistency like road tar!!), my top and bottom lashes in the corners get stuck together - I had to invest in eyelash combs to apply, really quite expensive for not delivering everything I would like. After using up the tube, I have not purchased again. I have picked another vegan, smudgeproof for around half the price that is proving a better purchase. At the end of the day, its trial and error finding one that works best for you.Not sure what's happened to Blinc mascara, have been a long time fan using this product for over 10 years, however the one I bought recently was awful. Didn't apply well, seems thinner/more watery than usual and had a very chemical smell. Even with multiple applications it didn't thicken up like it usually does. Also made a mess escaping from the end of the tube which it never usually does. Not sure I would risk buying it again
